The Skinner Hillclimb is a 2.1 mile climb, very steep in several portions, but with some rollers in the middle. The climb starts in Hadley on Rt. 47, at the intersection with Mountain Road, and ends at the apex of the sharp right-hand hairpin turn just before the upper parking lot at the Summit House. Riders are responsible for their own timing, so make sure that you have a cycle computer or watch. Drafting and other race tactics are allowed. The course gains 759 feet over 2.1 miles, for an average gradient of 6.8% (the steepest overall hillclimb in our series).
