The biggest TNR of the year (so far)!
A small, fast-paced TNR on a gorgeous evening.
The Thursday A/B (aka “Hilly Ride”) has a bit of a reputation (is that ever a good thing?). First, we have a reputation of really hammering on the way back to Northampton. Second, the Ashfield road climb is not an insignificant bump on the landscape! It takes a solid 30 minutes to ride from Williamsburg to the Ashfield regroup point in South Ashfield. And third, we have a reputation for dropping riders on the way to Williamsburg.
Let me tackle those one by one…
As is typical, the town lines punctuated our return to Northampton. As we approached the first one, I was pretty toasted already and chose to sit back and watch the shenanigans. I saw Ben J. drop back from the front, slotting into about the 6th or 7th spot and thought, “he’s going to take this one”…
Seven brave souls met in Pulaski Park on Thursday for the first Thursday Night Ride in almost two years. There were a few veterans, a few new folks, and one brave gentleman asking “is this the C+ ride?”
It was a small group this evening with only four riders: Zinj, Damon, Ron and me. The weather was beautiful and we were all excited to get the first Thursday night ride of the season off to a good start.
