We left Pulaski Park with 6 mostly regular riders, but we did have one newly minted NCC member who had just signed up that day!

Apparently, there was a lot of cycling activity, both locally (D2R2 gravel) and not so local (Mt. Washington hill climb) that happened this past Saturday. This seemed to have had a more noticeable effect on the B ride as, I believe, they only had five riders. The C ride wasn’t so affected as it started out with eleven.
The latest edition of the Saturday morning C ride had 12 riders heading up to Turners Falls on a 52 mile looping course.
This week’s Tuesday C ride was a single group in unusually good weather. We left Pulaski Park with 13 riders and did a new route with a little less mileage but more climbing.
Today’s weather was ideal for the trip up to Cummington. It was 61 degrees when we started our ride a little after 9 AM. It felt more like late September than the final day in July.
Today’s C introductory and experienced C rides are cancelled. There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for all of Western Mass.
We had twelve riders tour the Hamptons and stop at Kosinski Farm. A large pothole ended the ride for two of our participants a bit early.
Two rides are posted for Tuesday’s C Ride. One of 25 miles with a target finishing average of 16 mph, the other at 20 miles with a target finishing average of 13 mph. Forecast looks good!
