It was both an honor and a learning experience to lead a club ride for the first time this evening. Nine riders met at Pulaski Park for the C ride and set off on a version of the “Whately River” route modified to use Riverside Drive north, and avoid the Long TT in Hatflied on the way home.

It was ideal weather this morning for the C ride. The route up to Deerfield was mostly flat with a few hills included just for fun on sunny day in the mid 70s.
At the end of River Road, the group paused. Juan and I still were a bit fatigued from the JAM Fundo over the weekend, so to my surprise, he suggested trying a pace line once we got to Route 47. The group was willing to give it a go. So much for my gentle recovery ride!
