We had another small group today for the B ride. The weather was prefect, the route amazing- taking us the opposite direction than we normally ride it up to the Patten district of Shelburne. I even got to test my bike handling skills on a fast descent.
We had a very small group on the B ride today due to all the events locally and regionally. It was a slower, more scenic ride on familiar roads, but in the opposite direction than we normally ride them.
It was great to have cool temperatures and low humidity this week. We had a fun but challenging ride into Otis.
This week the weather was not much different than last, another hot and humid ride, but full beautiful scenery, a new (to me) difficult climb, and another unexpected “bridge out” crossing!
On a beautiful Saturday, and with a request, it was time to take the B ride to an annual favorite: the town of Peru. We battled the west wind most of the day, and had one broken wheel, but it was a challenging and beautiful ride.
With the weather forecast telling us the temperatures would be in the high 90’s (F) for today, I moved the ride start to 8AM hoping to beat the worst heat of the day. (Spoiler alert: it really did not matter!)
We had another gorgeous day for our NCC rides this morning. It was a little more humid than we have gotten used to, but the temperature never rose above the low eighties.
