“A road for a pilgrim to enter upon who would climb to the gates of heaven” – Thoreau 1844.
This event is a nine-mile timed bicycle hill climb up Mount Greylock, the tallest peak in Massachusetts. Riders leave one at a time from the starting area at Western Gateway Heritage State Park and climb to the summit through the northern section of the Mt Greylock State Reservation. The Greylock Hillclimb Time Trial is part of the Bike Up the Mountain Points Series.

Location: 119 State Street, North Adams MA
Format: Individual time trial (no drafting).
Starting Times: Riders depart every 30 seconds beginning at 8:30 AM. Start times will be posted a few days prior to the event.
Finish: The Highest Point in Massachusetts!
Note: The auto road is open to vehicle traffic during the event, and normal traffic rules apply. Your friends and family are welcome to cheer you on along the road or at the summit in designated parking areas (a small fee is charged at the summit for parking). After finishing the race it is your responsibility to pedal down the mountain or coordinate a ride down.
