Once in a while, it is fun to ride to, and up, the highest peak in our state. We could not have had better weather conditions today. Seven riders felt the pain today, but two completed their first ever ascent on a bike to Greylock!

This week, we met for the B ride in Westfield to ride south-west of the state border around the beautiful Barkhamsted Reservoir. Despite the harsh climbs, a bee sting, and a bit of dehydration, we all had a great ride.

The B race this week was fun despite grey skies and terrible air quality. If you ever considered racing, come over to Hadley next week and join the low key fun with your fellow NCC members and the JAM team!

After several weeks of epic late spring/early summer weather, Saturday suddenly showed up as if it was April.  I was excited and looking forward to leading my first SMR of the year, but the weather forecast dampened that feeling most of the week.  The C ride started on time, so now we know which group are the real hardy ones 🙂

We had another small group today for the B ride. The weather was prefect, the route amazing- taking us the opposite direction than we normally ride it up to the Patten district of Shelburne. I even got to test my bike handling skills on a fast descent.

We had a very small group on the B ride today due to all the events locally and regionally. It was a slower, more scenic ride on familiar roads, but in the opposite direction than we normally ride them.

This week the weather was not much different than last, another hot and humid ride, but full beautiful scenery, a new (to me) difficult climb, and another unexpected “bridge out” crossing!
