Tonight’s Zwift ride had a little more climbing than normal. We did four complete laps of the Two Bridges route in Watopia.

I knew it was going to be a wild hill climb when with three minutes before the group ride start time of 6 PM, Henry Weis said, “Is the Greatest London Flat the correct route?”
For a very warm February day, we had seven riders opt to ride inside this morning. It was less muddy and our bikes remained relatively clean. The majority of us rode the Big Foot Hills in Watopia.
Tonight’s Zwift ride was a nice flat recovery ride. We rode almost six laps of the Lutece Express route in Paris, which is the Champs-Élysées route in reverse. We had six rider tonight.
This week, our challenge was the Park Perimeter Loop. This 6.1 mile loop includes 413 feet of climbing. We had 20 participants for the second straight week!
We travelled to London this morning to ride the Surrey Hills route. The route is a tour of all the hills on the London course: Fox Hill, Leith Hill, Box Hill, and Keith Hill. Not surprisingly, there was a lot of climbing today.
For the Groundhog Day edition of the Wednesday Night Zwift ride, we went to New York City. The Astoria Line 8 route is a loop around Central Park, the closest we could ride on Zwift to Punxsutawney Phil’s Pennsylvania home.
Tonight was the largest NCC Zwift event to date. We had 20 participants, which bested our 17 participants from the New Year’s Day ride in 2021!
