The inaugural edition of Friday Night Lights is in the book, and it was a rousing success, to say the least. Beautiful weather and a smooth and fast loop out of town, down Bay Road, to Warren Wright Road, and home on the Rail Trail made for an enthusiastic crowd.

With Jonathan and Tim both racing Battenkill, and Roberto out sick, I became the de facto ride leader. I saw on the weather report last night that there was supposed to be a westerly wind all day, so I thought that heading west at the start would be a good plan.
The day began in typical cold, blustery fashion as Clayton, Frank S. and I headed out for the SMR. None of the usual suspects were in attendance; I presume they were all doing the training races in Bethel.
