A perfect weather day called for some beautiful (but challenging) riding up to the Berkshire county town of Peru, which is the highest altitude municipality in Massachusetts at 2064′.
We had twelve riders tour the Hamptons and stop at Kosinski Farm. A large pothole ended the ride for two of our participants a bit early.
To my untrained eye it appears that fitness has really improved across all C+ riders as evidenced by all the riders making it up to Outlook Farm together.
Tuesday’s C ride had two sections, with 10 riders in the faster, more experienced group and 5 in the introductory group — and NO RAIN!
A hill climb, in person, on a hot, sticky, hazy and murky night! There were attacks, there were counter attacks, there were drops, there were counter drops, there were counter attack drops! Man, it was just like the old days! Our first mass start hill climb after a handful of cancellations due to rain and/or 100+ heat indices.
Another close call with thunder this week, and some electrifying racing. We appreciate the understanding with shifting some starts around, and keeping things moving for race day.
