Today was the first Saturday in a long time that we had more than a pair of riders. In fact, we had five riders (Henry vdB, Melissa, Tim, Zinj, and me).

The quest for the day was two hours on the Temples and Towers route in Makuri Island.

It was nice to have a larger group today. The Discord discussion was lively.

After hearing Zinj’s house/car story for the fifth time (to his credit, I’m the only one to hear it multiple times), we spent the first 30 minutes talking about flooring and window installation. It could have been an episode of PBS’s “This Old House.”

At one point, Henry filled us in on his new favorite drone. He even retrieved the drone and turned it on. For a while, it was hovering in his basement watching Henry pedal in place. I truly hope that Henry publishes a drone photo on Strava for his Zwift session.

We also had a lengthy discussion about the demise of GCN and alternative apps for viewing cycling content. This turned into a general chat about online food purchasing, about which we had varying opinions.

Of course the recent Zwift level changes and ride streaks were discussed.

Henry earned his avatar the Temples and Tower route achievement, which doubled his XP points for the route.

In total, the group rode approximately 33 miles with 1,900 feet of climbing.

Here is the NCC Zwift schedule:
