Join us on Saturday, October 21st at Ghost CX powered by Northeast Solar on the UMass campus! This is the fourth race of the 2023 River Valley CX Series.
This is an official NCC event put on in collaboration with the UMass Amherst Cycling Club, with the hope of promoting collaboration between these local clubs. The profits will go to helping UMass Cycling Club.
NCC co-founder Adam Myerson held the first UCI cyclocross race at this venue nearly 20 years ago, and we are happy to carry the tradition of racing this fun and historic course.
We want to invite all NCC members, and especially juniors, such as the NCC Trail Blasters team members, to join us in racing, cheering, and enjoying the classic New England cross atmosphere. Racing is FREE for U12 juniors! We also have a great kids course, and race, put on by Tom H. Bring the family, and chat with some amazing UMass Cycling Club members.
The UMass BabyBerk Food Truck will be showcasing UMass Amherst’s #1 dining at the event from 9am-3pm!
If you are new to racing come and learn techniques with our morning Intro Clinic! We will have Mike Wissell taking riders through the course and looking at the best ways to ride and maneuver through the race. Even if you aren’t racing this is a great opportunity to learn about the sport and become a better bike handler, taught by a seasoned local pro.

We are seeking volunteers for tasks like course setup, teardown, course repairs, and registration so please help by signing up! As a bonus, all volunteers will have the opportunity to win a raffle for a Northampton Bicycle Hoodie! Food will also be provided.
