A group of 7 riders kept a brisk pace (15 mph) today in a 42 mile loop from Florence to the Montague Book Mill and back.
The weather was excellent, and spirits were high.
A first time NCC group rider turned back at the Sunderland store citing a faster pace than expected, and a need to preserve her legs. She expects to try another ride soon.
This writer intends to address discrepancy between the advertised pace ( 12-14 mph overall average), and an emerging ‘pace creep’ in this ride.
