Week six of our Thursday night Zwift road race series took us to Zwift’s brand-new Scotland course, where we rode one lap of the “Rolling Highlands” route. The Scotland map looks pretty nice, although Melissa mentioned that she didn’t get to enjoy much of the scenery due to the hypoxic fog of the race effort. We did catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness monster around the midpoint of the race. It was larger than I had expected.

We had special guest appearances tonight from Scott, Mark, and Patrick, each joining our Thursday night series for the first time.

The whole NCC contingent hung with the lead group through the entire race. Scott threw down a dozen or so watts the first time through the KOM to take a flyer off the front, but was quickly reeled back in. He repeated the process at the finish to easily take the win. Mark was right behind in fifth, and Zinj also scored a top-ten finish.
