To close out 2022, we headed to Watopia and rode the Triple Flat Loops.
We had seven riders this morning (Brant, Justine, Melissa, Tim, Steve, Zinj, and me).
Brant completed the Italy Challenge and earned his avatar the Pinarello Dogma F8.
Melissa assisted Justine with Discord and was able to get everyone into the conversation. For some reason, Melissa’s audio was challenged every time she turned her video camera on, so she reverted to audio only. In the brief video appearance, she was wearing cycling bibs, something that she believes are evil. I think she is slowly coming around to bibs.
I mentioned this morning’s GCN video on riding through deep water. It is entertaining, but really just an excuse to make the presenters look silly. I finally saw the new Top Gun movie last night. I thought I was the last person in the world to see it, but no one else on the ride has seen it yet.
Brant and Zinj had a detailed conversation about solar power and zero offsets.
At the end of the ride, Steve’s very large cat, Willow, appeared on screen. Steve shared that the cat is concerned by the trainer noise and always appears to confirm that he is alright.
Don’t forget about the New Year’s Day Temperature ride tomorrow. The weather is expected to be in the high 40s.
In total, we rode 35 miles with 840 feet of climbing. It took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the ride.
