For our first official Wednesday Night Zwift ride of the fall, we headed to France to ride the R.G.V. route. Since R.G.V stands for route grand vitesse (high speed route), there was not a lot of climbing.
We had a small group tonight with three riders (Melissa, Zinj, and me). Tim D (“Indoor Tim”) could not make the ride tonight. He offered the classic excuse of having to interview someone in Australia.
It was nice to pick up our conversation on Discord. We covered a variety of topics including the NCC kit store reopening, latex versus butyl inner tubes, local construction, and the Shutesbury library.
At the end of the ride, Zinj showed us the customized bike parts he has created for his new frame.
In our 60 minute ride, we covered approximately 20 miles with 500 feet of climbing.
Here is the NCC Zwift schedule:
- Tuesday 6:00 PM – Time Trial / Hill Climb
- Wednesday 8:00 PM – Social Ride
