It’s not often I get to highlight my weather forecasting skills, but, DANG!!! – I nailed it tonight! I didn’t think that canceling made any sense. Sure, the roads would be wet but the big storms had just rolled through around 5 and there was a clearing that looked to be destined to hold for a while. As it turned out, the hillclimb was done under mostly sunny skies and the skyscape on the way home from 6:30 to 8 was absolutely spectacular. Lots of clouds and mist mixed in with blue sky and low angle sun. Stunning! I almost stopped to take some pictures.
Good participation today and this evening. Only 3 of the 12 did the HC earlier in the day. And what a great surprise and treat to have none other than George Clooney join us. Fantastic!
Three PRs today – Zinj by 3 seconds, Ben by 36 and Hen III by 1:38!
One final note, our one wayward non-participant from last week came back to the fold tonight. So happy!
