You can choose any day of the week to count and we ask that you count on a day that it is not raining. Each volunteer will be assigned an intersection to count ONE DAY of their choosing during the count period.

If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign up here. Please sign up by September 2nd. If you have any questions, please reach out to Elena at huisman.elena@gmail.com.

Why are Bike Counts Important?

This information is critical in planning and in discussions with officials as we work to build safe bike infrastructure. We’re at a critical juncture. Massive federal and state infrastructure and climate initiatives have recently been passed. Unprecedented opportunities are presenting themselves for development of infrastructure that safely integrates multiple modes of transportation, increasing the ranks of cyclists and pedestrians and reducing auto traffic.
