OK, so much ground to cover today! Finally, some great weather that didn’t result in any heat stroke casualties! Melissa was celebrating her I-don’t-know-what birthday but I’d imagine it’s somewhere in the low numbers. I tried to give her a piano as a present (free in the driveway of a house near the HC start) but she settled for a cookie instead. Madeline, fresh from winning the women’s Sea to Summit Triathlon on Saturday, took a rest day and did the hillclimb anyway. Congratulations Madeline! Two PRs tonight – Nick (48 seconds) and Patrick R (16 seconds). Newcomer Jamison posted his first ever best time and now has a great target for future hillclimbs. Henry, in spite of fighting off a cold and not wanting to spread too many germs, did the ride earlier in the day. And finally, great to see Luke come back after a few years off or away.
