The 2022 Hatfield Lions Club Annual Bike Tour will be held Saturday, June 11th. The proceeds from the event will support eye research, the traditional cause for the Lions Club.

The Northampton Cycling Club is supporting this ride financially and it encourages its members to ride for this worthy cause.

The Annual Bike Tour will leave from the Lions Club Pavilion (15 Billings Way, Hatfield, MA 01038), a familiar location for many cycling events in the Pioneer Valley.

The entry fee is $30 per rider. Riders may register in advance through BikeReg and day of registration will also be available at the event. Pre-registered riders will receive a complementary t-shirt, which may even feature an NCC logo!

There will be three ride options, all starting at 9 AM:

  • 25 Miles (26.6 miles/750 feet of climbing, 1 rest stop)
  • 35 Miles (34.7 miles/1,680 feet of climbing, 1 rest stop)
  • 50 Miles (56 miles/3,614 feet of climbing, 2 rest stops)

If you have an NCC kit, please wear it for the ride. For those interested in completing a metric century (100 kilometers/62.14 miles), the 50 mile route can easily be extended.

After the ride, there will be a pasta lunch. In addition, since this is taking place in Hatfield, baked potatoes will also be served.

This ride will be great practice for the NCC’s upcoming events, including the the Tour of the Hilltowns (June 25th), the JAM Fundo (July 23rd), the Greylock Hillclimb (September 10th) and BikeFest (September 17th). Active NCC members qualify for a 10% discount on their entry fees for NCC events.
