Tonight’s adventure took us to Great Britain. We rode the Greater London Loop.

We had five riders (Charlie, Henry, Kathryn, Zinj, and me). This was the first Zwift ride without Melissa in 2022. Kathryn proudly took all the QOM jerseys tonight.

Zinj followed Charlie’s advice from last week and was ready to ride a full three minutes prior to the start. That said, there was something wrong with his power meter and he started off at 2,000 watts! Zwift flagged him and he rode the rest of the ride with a triangle with an exclamation point (cone of shame) above his head.

Early on, Henry briefly stopped riding to take a phone call. When he returned, he was 1:32 behind us. Knowing Henry, we did not stop. He caught us just as we arrived at Box Hill. He was several minutes ahead of us by the time we reaching the top of the climb.

Zinj told us about his adventures insulating his new house. Charlie explained password managers to the group. He even offered to provide a demonstration prior to next Wednesday’s ride.

Henry and Kathryn earned the Greater London Loop route achievements, which doubled their XP points for the route. Kathryn also completed level 12 and received the Dotted Socks.

In total, we rode approximately 19 miles with 879 feet of climbing.

Tomorrow’s race is at 6:15 PM. It is covering four laps of the Volcano Circuit.
