To counteract the chill of the day, we rode the Beach Island route in Watopia this evening.
We had five riders (Dusty, Melissa, Tim, Zinj, and me) for the very flat course.
Zinj informed us that today started meteorological winter. Considering Zinj was wearing arm warmers for the ride tonight, it seemed appropriate that he would know about this weather milestone. The Discord conversation covered winter riding gear. Dusty made his first appearance of the season and explained the different apparel options depending on the temperatures.
Melissa and Tim shared their experiences battling the invasive “jumping worms.” These worms are bad for the soil.
Tim’s new trainer arrived. Tonight was his first ride with “road feel.” A few sections of the course were on cobbles, which caused his trainer to vibrate.
At the end of the ride, Zinj showed us his new cat, May.
During our 60 minute ride, we covered approximately 20 miles with 420 feet of climbing.

- Wednesday 8:00 PM – Social Ride (invite required)
- Thursday Evenings – Road Race (times will vary between 5 PM and 7 PM EST)
