All I was hearing about today from folks was about the wind. Oh, and how slow they were. Oh, and how awful the wind was. Yes, the wind was tough again for the 5th out of the last 6 weeks. Why didn’t anyone complain about the wind on the Short Time Trial when it gave everyone an extra 50 watts?
The real time/Strava difference today ranged from 12 seconds to 25 (4 times) for an average of about 20 seconds. Pretty significant!
As a reminder, these events (TTs and HCs) are supposed to be done on your own. We are all on the honor system. I know that cycling is often a social sport – ride to and from the event with your buds – but do the actual event on your own. No drafting is allowed! Got it??
By the way, I waited until 9:25 this evening to compile the results. Last week we missed our two fastest times because I got them after the 9 pm deadline (actually, I waited until 9:20) so please make sure I get your results by 9 pm!
Lots of tight battles today – quite a few positions separated by one or two seconds.
