Whether you are new to the area or an experienced rider, everyone wants to explore new roads or gravel. Did you know that the NCC has a Route Library that has been curated by our ride leaders and highlights some of the best rides in Western Massachusetts?
The Route Library has rides starting from a variety of locations, including Amherst, Florence, Hatfield, Northampton, Southampton, and Sunderland.
As the region begins to emerge from the pandemic and as the NCC gradually works its way towards traditional group rides, we encourage members to use the Route Library to plan adventures. Perhaps ride in small groups. You may use our discussion board to coordinate groups.
But wait! There is more.
To provide extra motivation, the NCC is running a contest. During the month of May, ride three routes in the Library and you could win a NCC multitool! This quality multitool has over 16 tools.
To enter:
- Be an active member of the NCC
- Ride three of the routes
- Upload your data to Strava, Ride with GPS, or another service
- Give your rides the same name as in the Route Library
- Share your rides on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #NCCRoutes
- You may also e-mail your ride links to contests@nohobikeclub.org if you prefer
The first 40 members to submit three rides by the end of May will receive their prize in the mail. Don’t forget that the Tuesday Time Trial/Hill Climb Series routes are in the Route Library.
The NCC is hopeful that group rides could start sometime in June. In the meantime, please enjoy the Route Library and enter the contest.
If you have suggestions for the Route Library, please e-mail Strava or Ride with GPS routes to John Coffey.
