The final race of our winter Monday night series was a huge one, with over 1,000 starters taking on Watopia’s “Magnificent 8” route. This route is mostly flat, except for a jaunt up the reverse hilly KOM about four miles in, which quickly shattered the peloton into smithereens. With such a large field, though, everyone was able to find a group to ride with for the mostly-flat remainder of the course.

Tonight’s race wraps up our winter series of Monday night races. Congratulations to Melissa and Dusty, our series champions in the women’s and men’s divisions. Kudos also to Michael and Zinj, who (along with Dusty and Melissa) raced in all 11 of the series events. And thanks to everyone who participated, it has been lots of fun racing and socializing with all of you through this very strange past year of virtual cycling. Looking forward to seeing you all when we get back on the road this summer, and online when things get cold again next winter.
