We had a relatively small field tonight in New York, but the mixed-category format of this race (with all categories racing together) made for a fast pace in the peloton. The field broke up into three main groups, with Zinj, Dusty, and me in the front group of about 20, followed by a big chase group with Charlie and Melissa, and a smaller group with Michael and most of the riders in the C race. As usual, all of the fields ended up in sprint finishes, and judging from the efforts we could see and hear in our Discord chat, everyone put in a hard effort on the sprint.
