Each September, the Northampton Cycling Club hosts BikeFest. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Most of the money we raise is donated to the JAM Fund, which helps kids across the country who are passionate about riding bikes and racing. With the events of 2020, a large gathering of hundreds of cyclists and their supporters was not possible.

Yet we knew you wanted to ride. So we organized BikeFest: Solo, a special edition of our annual event. We gave you the six courses and you had two months to ride one or all of the routes. Even though the event was free, you had the option of donating to the JAM Fund.  We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. In total, we raise $1,285 dollars for the JAM Fund.

Here are the statistics from the event:

  • Donation to the JAM Fund: $1,285
  • Number of Participants: 99
  • Route Choices:
    • Family: 4
    • Vineyard: 29
    • Half Century: 16
    • Metric Century: 14
    • Century: 10
    • 30 Mile Gravel: 20
    • 60 Mile Gravel: 6
  • Participants Completing 2 or More Routes: 10
  • Participant Who Rode All the Routes: 1

For those who completed their rides by October 31st, be on the lookout for NCC socks that will be arriving in your mailbox soon.

In 2021, we hope to see everyone at our traditional BikeFest.
