Fast race tonight, with some strong riders at the front pushing the pace across all the categories. Kevin and I ended up among just a handful of B’s in the front group, and I could feel him breathing down my neck in the final sprint. I just barely held him off, and we finished one-two in the B race. The C group was also flying, and Michael had a bunch of PRs en-route to a second-place finish. Meanwhile, Melissa continued to demonstrate that she has been using her injury recovery time to get even stronger, throwing down 3.7 w/kg to earn herself a ticket to Cat B next week.
Speaking of next week, now that winter is here, we will wrap up this fall season of racing next Monday with a special extra-long race for double points, before taking a couple weeks off and rebooting the series in the new year.
