We haven’t been up in the Patten district for a while, so today I planned a route to take us up through Conway, across the bridge on Bardwells Ferry Rd, and up into the Patten. We started with a group of ten or so, but a couple of flat tires in Buckland combined with time constraints led to most of the group turning back after the Cosby climb. Sean and I continued further north, crossing Route 2 to do the Old Village Rd climb up into the Patten, and then the north side of Apex Orchards leading back down onto Route 2. Sean is super-strong, but waited patiently for me on the hills and pulled all the way on the flats into a headwind to get my tired ass home. Thanks Sean! I ended up with 64 miles at 17.5 mph, 4,200′ of climbing.
