The promise of sun shining and temperatures in the 40’s got me out today, though Chris D. was the only one brave enough to face the early morning chill with me with temps as low as 25 before the sun poked through the early clouds.

We rode a very mellow, social pace up to Conway via North Farms/Mountain/Webber, and then headed back down 116 to S. Deerfield. In Sunderland, Chris and I split ways and headed toward our hometowns.

Turned out to be a great day for late December. The roads had quite a bit of snow/ice in the shoulders, but the main tracks were not bad. Bikes were a bit salted and sandy, but not as bad as I have seen in the past.

37 miles from the Academy and back, with only 1100 feet of climbing in 2.5 hours and a December like pace of 15.6 MPH, and average temperature of 34°F.
