What a ride!!! We had six hearty souls (Paul D., Jonathan X2, Joel, Patrick S., James L.) and attempted to head out on the above posted route, but were stalled by two flats before Leeds. Using Paul’s garage as a shop, we were back on the road until we were snagged again by another flat on Ashfield Rd. But that was it for misfortune and delay. For the rest of the ride, we pumped out a very steady effort on an absolutely beautiful, hilly route that brought us on some new roads that even James (the Pioneer Valley bike advocacy guru himself) had not even been on. We stayed together on the flats, but the A-riders got to strut their stuff on each hill — and there were many. I had about 70 miles with 5,500ft of elevation gain at 16mph. Great ride; stunning!
