As Rob described, there were 12 riders at the start in Noho and we all rode together over North Farms and Adams Roads into Williamsburg. Six of us split off to continue the climbing themed ride (Paul, Clayton, Peter, Joe, Tim and me) up Petticoat Hill, up 143 into Chesterfield, over to the DAR, up Wing Hill Road into Ashfield, screamed down to 116 and eventually into Deerfield. Peter and split off (and I made him pay a quick social call to my parents in Sunderland) and then back home. It was a great cohesive group, lots of climbing and good times. 64 miles for me to and from Amherst.

Thanks for the report David. I enjoyed the whole ride, Petticoat was an awesome climb. Nice to ride through my old hometown, and the DAR brought back memories of camping and hiking when I was a kid. After the split in Deerfield, Paul, Joe and myself enjoyed a nice flat, respectable pace (21mph) return to Northampton via River Rd. I turned off at N. Elm to head back to Easthampton, and had around 52 miles at that point (starting from the Academy), making it a 70 mile day for me. As always, I appreciated the comments and encouragements (good pull, good climb). Awesome day and awesome group.
