Very fast ride today. There were 12 of us (Clayton, Ron, Joe, Chris, Rich, Kevin, me, Zach, Paul, David, Mike, Patrick). We headed out the WNR, but took a left into Hatfield and weaved our way over to Mountain Rd. and then onto Westbrook Rd. (where Rich, who was climbing really strong! got a work call and had to part ways) to conway rd (dirt) and then up to Conway, where David headed back to his home. We climbed 116 to Ashfield a bit too fast and the group splintered a bit. Like gentlemen:-) we talked about working harder to keep the group together, and then headed back to Williamsburg on Ashfiled/ Rd.. On the climb after a fast decent, Chris and I bumped tires, and he went down. Like a champ, he came to and we continued in the blistering decent. The group broke a little bit, but our rear crew worked really well together and came vey close to catching the rest of the guys — of only there was more road! In Williamsburg we parted ways with Ron, Chris, Clayton Zach and maybe some others heading down Rt. 9 and Joe, Patrick, Kevin, Paul, Mike heading back to Noho. It looked like Kevin, Mike, and Joe were heaidng out for more mileage. I had 44 miles, at about 16mph with and 2,000 ft of elevation gain. Major kudos to Kevin, who is looking really strong this year!

Chris, no worries — at all. I am just glad – and hope – you are ok. See you at the party?
