David, Frank, Chris, Chris, Peter and Paul (Mary stopped by to see what were doing) met at the Academy. There was a brisk north wind, so we decided to head out in that direction -going to Conway on the Thursday night route (backwards). In Conway, Chris and Paul headed back on Rt 116 and the rest of us continued north going past Cosby’s and then heading east towards Deerfield. We got a tailwind at this point -but it did not seem to be as strong as the headwind that we had battled earlier (ain’t that always the case?). We then went through Sunderland and Leverett, splitting up when we got into Amherst.
From Pelham is was 63 miles at ~17mph.

Was great riding with you guys again. I begin to like this uphill combinations close to Greenfield(no map no clue).
I also appreciated the pace – ideal for this time of the season.

I agree – no real tailwind. Maybe we should ride with fixies next time . We could ride backwards and coudl have tailwind whenever we wanted.
