“New” bridge = All New BikeFest Ride Routes
Thanks to the return of the Eunice Williams Bridge (Nov. 2014), BikeFest will sport all-new ride routes including a spectacular tour of West Leyden on the Century ride.
Following the new Century Ride route, all three long rides are new and improved and all will feature a dramatic climb through Bardwell’s Ferry after crossing the historic Bardwell’s Ferry steel bridge.
This year’s Shelburne Falls stop will be on a scenic over-look above the famed Glacial Potholes (Century and Metric rides).
All three long rides will also feature about 1,000′ more descending
Also new this year, the Vineyard Ride is back on some beautiful freshly paved asphalt including many new roads. Even the family ride is now on almost all new pavement.
Come out to enjoy the stunning fall foliage, dairy farms, and quaint villages of the Pioneer Valley, then stay for the gourmet food, beer, live music and entertainment. NCC BikeFest and Tour of the Valley is the most fun you can have on or off a bike! Tour of the Valley entrance fee includes fully supported ride with SAG, well-stocked rest stops, a post-ride gourmet BBQ lunch buffet with local craft beers, entertainment featuring the music of The Art Steele Band, a pro BMX stunt show from Team East and other surprises.
The Northampton Cycling Club is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote fun, fitness, and health through the sports of cycling and triathlon to athletes of all ages and abilities in the Pioneer Valley.
