Race Participation Points (Based on events January 1, 2008 – December 16, 2008)

POINTS EVENT 1 Crit, Relay leg Triathlon/Duathlon, Time Trial, Hill Climb, Training Race. 2 Road Race, Cross Race, Mt. Bike Race, Triathlon/Duathlon 3 Half IronMan Triathlon, Brevets, Randonees, Official Cross State Record attempts. 5 IronMan, Multi-Day Stage Race, Ultracyling Races (12 hours+)

Point Rules: All events must be officially sanctioned. You must complete the event to receive full points.  You must start to receive ½ the point value.  DNS = zero points.  NCC reserves the right to make final decisions on points and event eligibility.  The maximum points per event is five.

(Racers under age 18 on December 31, 2008 have their points count 1.5 times the value.)

Bonus Awards:  $100 gift certificate for each of the following (racer must qualify as described in right column):

• Point Master (highest point total in club)
• Cyclocross Master (highest ‘cross points in club)
• Triathlon Master (highest tri/multisport points in club)

To be Eligible for Awards:

1. You must volunteer for at least one club event this year, provide a volunteer, or serve on a committee (at discretion of the volunteer coordinator).
2. You must accrue 15 or more points.
3. You must be a member in good standing (dues paid).
4. You must have purchased a 2008 team jersey/tri top, and competed in current uniform.
5. You must submit your points form by December 16, 2008 to be considered.  There are no exceptions.  (Once awards are dispersed, they are gone).

Nuts and Bolts: Maximum reimbursement is $500 (NCC Dollars) per individual per year.  NCC dollars can be used as follows:

1st NCC dollar amount must be used for dues ($10/$30/$35)
2nd NCC dollar amount must be used to purchase an NCC jersey
All other NCC dollars can be used to purchase other team clothing or purchase gift certificates from Dynamic Training, Joe’s Garage, Sylvester’s, Northampton Brewery, Flye Cycles, or Competitive Edge.

NCC dollars must be redeemed for clothing or gift certificates by 3/1/08 or until clothing order is closed, whichever comes first.  NCC dollars are not transferable.

Disclaimers: The Board of Directors reserves the right to cancel or change the program at any time.  Rewards are subject to budgetary availability.  Award amounts may be rounded up to accommodate special circumstances.
