Description of Long TT: This is an individual time trial starting at the I-91 overpass on Elm Street in Hatfield, north on River Road in Whately, turning around at the Sugarloaf Street Extension and then back to the starting line. Riders will be responsible for their own timing so make sure that you have a cycle computer or watch. All races leave the starting line at 6 pm. This is a flat 18.4 mile route that begins and ends at the same point. In the interest of safety at the turnaround point, all racers are asked to give themselves 10 seconds to carefully turn around the traffic island and begin the trip back (even if you can do it in 2 or 3 seconds). There is no drafting and riders will leave in 30 second intervals, starting loosely from slow to fast. Points will be awarded for a season long TT and overall TT/Hillclimb series winner based on the number of competitors and your overall placing (for example, if there are 19 riders and you have the best time, you will be awarded 19 points, second will get 18 points all the way down to the last rider who will get 1 point).

Description of TT (Map: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=784883) the route does a loop of this, out and back, starting and ending at the I-91 overpass.

The last long time trial of the season ended on a high note - 23 riders, dry roads, a moderate breeze out of the south for a challenging return ride and some pretty good times. Bob Sagor flatted in the first mile and I might have added an extra minute to Mukunda's time (did you get 46:37 or 47:37?).

Here are the results:

Place,Name,Time,Speed,Points
1 Alec Donahue,41:07,26.85,23
2 Todd Roberts,42:05,26.23,22
3 Zak Page,43:57,25.60,21
4 Andrew Pazmany,43:29,25.39,20
5 Mike Hempstead,44:16,24.94,19
6 Scott Yarosh,44:41,24.71,18
7 Clayton Jarvis,44:58,24.55,17
8 John Wanner,45:20,24.35,16
9 Roy Currie,45:21,24.34,15
10 Patrick Rondeau,46:11,23.90,14
11 David Goodwin,46:46,23.61,13
12 Mukunda Feldman,47:37,23.19,12
13 Madeline Nagy,49:10,22.45,11

It looks like Zak and Andrew should be reversed based on the listed times.

Good catch Mike - I think the translated times were wrong (I have a malfunctioning key on my computer) but the places are right (since I first put the names and times into a spreadsheet, sort, dump out to a text file, edit in/out some spaces and punctuation - I think this is where I messed up the times) and then copy and paste into an NCC post. Sounds like fun, eh?

Zak and Andrew - do you remember your real times?

Dave,
You have the times correct - just the order, points and average speed are reversed. Thanks for organizing this!
